Covid-19 Contingency Plan

Following the recent developments relating to COVID-19, Maritime Training School will now be following the government recommendations below. 

  1. Smaller class numbers and seat spacing has been increased.
  2. Smaller student numbers on each boat. The practical training may take longer.
  3. Alcohol-based hand rub sanitizer provided.
  4. Classroom and boats will be sanitised before/after use.
  5. Lunch is no longer provided, please bring your own food and water.

  • Cabarita - 8.00am Pick Up. d'Albora Marina. Follow Cabarita Rd through the park, go straight at the roundabout and down to the marina. The office is near the entrance gates. You will be taken to our training room at Mosman to complete the training and returned at the completion of the course.
  • Canberra - Crown Plaza, 1 Binara St, ACT, 2601The training will be in a designated room. Parking is available at the car park underneath the hotel. Parking height is max. 1.9m. Theory Option 1 (Theory and Exam only) - Friday starts at 5pm. Option 2 (Theory, Exam and Practical) - Saturday practical sessions held at Lake Ginniderra, Diddams Close, Belconnen ACT. 1.5 hour time slot will be provided separately.
  • Gosford - District Scout Hall, 15 Gertrude Place Gosford NSW. Course starts at 8:30am
  • Newcastle - 1st Stockton Scout Hall, Fullerton Street (Opp. Monmouth St), Stockton NSW 2295. Course starts at 8:30am
  • Mosman - 3rd Sea Scout Hall Mosman, 5 Centenary Drive, Mosman. The course starts at 9am sharp. 
  • Rose Bay - 8.30am Pick up from the boat ramp adjacent to the ferry wharf. You will be taken to our training room at Mosman to complete the training and returned at the completion of the course.
  • Sans Souci – St George Power Boat Club, 2 Wellington Street, Sans Souci. Make your way to the conference room upstairs. The course starts at 9am sharp. 
  • Penrith - Jordan Springs Community Hub, 2/6 Cullen Ave, Jordan Springs NSW 2747. Theory and Exam only.  Practical sessions can be requested at a later date. Or the practical Log book option is also available.

IMPORTANT:

  • Proof of Identity is required on the day – Students under 16 years must have parent/guardian ID  and Parent/Guardian must sign application form at morning registration
  • Students wishing to obtain their PWC Licence MUST bring 2 passport photos on the day
  • It is advised that all students read the attached study material prior to attending the course. 
  • Students should dress appropriately for the weather conditions.
  • Please note that students must provide two (2) days’ notice for a transfer or refund. If notice is not provided, fees paid will be forfeited. Please note that there is a maximum of 3 transfers available per student. A $20 admin fee will be charged for any refund, regardless of notice given. Please refer to our refunds and cancellation policy on the website (located under "Customer Charter") for further information.
